Dear Community Partners,
The tremendous success of last year’s event was demonstrated by
over 100 exhibitors and over 1000 attendees. The overwhelming response to
Nelson Community Day 2011 stretched our abilities, volunteers and facility. We
appreciate the way everyone showed patience and stepped up to bring our
community together and have a wonderful time last year. Because the county was
so receptive we would like to invite you to the second annual Nelson Community
Day on Saturday,
September 15th, 2012 at the Oak Ridge Racetrack.
Our purpose for Nelson Community Day continues to be to inform the
public about local businesses, organizations, churches, agencies, etc., to
increase sales for Nelson County businesses and participation for organizations
and to bring members of the community together for fun and fellowship.
You are cordially invited to participate this year as an
exhibitor. If you or members of your organization want to go further to serve
your community we are also seeking individuals help in various ways on the
planning committee and/or to volunteer during the event.
Underneath the "Participants" link above, you will find a participant application and information
regarding sponsors and exhibitors. We request that everyone again provide a
“draw” to the public in order to attract attendees to your booth. This could be
a free sample, a raffle, a demonstration, or activity. If you need help coming
up with creative ideas please contact our committee! After April 15th we will open up booth registrations and sponsorships to new
participants. Please help us spread the word to other community-minded
businesses and organizations.
